Pedestal Alley - Utah
What to do if you have little time : Pedestal Alley
Pedestal Alley is still a very uncrowded site and you are likely to be alone. You will find hoodoos of different sizes and shapes.
Be careful, in summer, it can be very hot. Bring water accordingly.
Pedestal Alley
The site is composed of several sectors. The first sector is about 0,8 miles of walking. The hoodoos, here, are rather small or medium size. The hike to the largest hoodoo (1st photo in the gallery) is about 1,9 miles one way. Here are the most beautiful hoodoos, in our opinion. A third area is 2,8 miles one way and there are 2 large hoodoos (3rd photo in the gallery) but the trip here is not very interesting.
By making these three areas in April 2022, we had covered 5,6 miles round trip for 4h10 on the spot.
Access : from Bullfrog, take UT276 for 5,2 miles then turn left on Burr Trail Road for 4,8 miles. The parking lot is on the left and the trailhead is on the right - it is indicated by a sign.
