Bigwater Badlands - Utah
What to do if you have little time : drive a few miles down the road east of Bigwater (NP230)
The road / track along these badlands is pretty nice. It presents no difficulty in dry except in one place where a high clearance car can be recommended. At the same place, the road may be impassable if it rained a lot before. This track comes very close to the Badlands. You can park almost anywhere and venture on the rocks. There is no trail, just go where you want.
Bigwater Badlands
No hike here as you just have to drive on the track and stop where you want.
Access : from the Glen Canyon Dam, take US89 North for 14.6 miles to the "village" of Bigwater. Turn right onto Aaron Burr. Continue straight for 320 yards and turn right again at the road just before the building n°300. You are now on the NP230.
