What to do if you have little time : the viewpoints
Smith Rock is best known for rock climbing. According to documentation Smith Rock involve some of the most difficult walls in the world.

You will find in Smith Rock a few hiking trails. It may be interesting to combine Canyon Trail and part of River Trail. This walk allows in about 1,9 miles round trip to get down to the Crooked River and find yourself at the foot of the rocky bars and closest to the mountaineers. Homestead Trail is another easy trail of 1,2 miles round trip that does not descend to the river but has only a few viewpoints. There are also arranged viewpoints, one of which is ideal for sunset.
Access : from Bend, take US97 north for 22,3 miles to the city of Terrebonne. Turn right on B Avenue and continue on NE Smith Rock Way for 0,5 mile. Turn left on Lambert Road for 2 miles then turn left again on NE Crooked River Drive for 0,7 mile.
