Ringvassoya Island - Norvège
The island of Ringvassoya lies to the northeast of Tromso and is linked by a tunnel to the island of Kvaloysletta. It is Norway's sixth-largest coastal island. From Tromso, it's an hour's drive to the north of the island, where our accommodation, Mikkelvik Brygge, is located. This island is very wild and not very touristy. Lake Skogsfjordvatnet, 10 km long, is Norway's largest island lake. It lies 20 meters above sea level. The island of Rebbenesoya can be reached by ferry from Mikkelvik Brygge (check timetables). It is populated by reindeer.
