    Khwai - Botswana

Khwai is a wildlife reserve covering approximately 1,800 km² located northeast of Moremi. It is crossed by the Khwai River.

Review of our stay in november 2026 :

    - Negative points : no large herds (probably due to the rainy season), too much bush and forest.

    - Positive points : greener and more wooded than Moremi, some nice landscapes with the river, possibility of going off-road, very nice camp location, an elephant every afternoon in our camp.

    Lodging

    We slept at :

    • Khwai - Community Camp : located in a meadow in an official campground, it consists of a “dining room” tent, two tents for the four of us, and, slightly apart, tents for the staff. Our tents are equipped with two camp beds with warm duvets, a small bedside table, and a wardrobe with mosquito netting. At the rear, there is a shower and toilets dug into the ground. At the front, there are two camping chairs, a small table, and two “sinks.” A campfire is lit every evening for aperitifs.
