    Free

    Very beautiful waterfall easy of access. It is divided into 2 parts: a wide lower part and a very steep upper part. A path on the right of the waterfall allows to reach the top.

     

    Access : from the city of Hvolsvollur, take the road 261 towards the East for 10,5 miles. The parking is on the left.

    Thordarfoss

    At 0,1 mile from Gluggafoss is another waterfall less pretty.

    Lodging

    We have tested :

    • Hvoll - youth hostel : lost in the middle of nowhere. The hostel is spacious but rooms are too small. The dining room is also spacious, with several small kitchens.
