Ridge Point - Utah
What to do if you have little time : Ridge Point
Ridge Point is a viewpoint over a valley from a plateau with the "buttes" of Monument Valley in the background.
It's best to get there at sunrise and wait for the sunlight to slowly nibble away at the shadows on the valley floor.
In the late afternoon, the sun is against the light.
Ridge Point
The viewpoint is visible from the parking lot. There is no hike except to go along the rim to get different views or to try to find a trail down.
Access : from Bluff, take US191 west for 4,3 miles. Turn right to stay on 191 South and continue for 6,7 miles. Then turn right onto track 436 for 0,2 mile before turning left onto track 415 Chinle Creek Road for 7,6 miles.
