Extremely touristic site. But not stopping there would be a mistake. This is one of the main attraction in Iceland. This is a lake formed by the glacier tongues of Vatnajokull, on which float blue and black icebergs . We can walk along the lake either east or west. For our part we opted for the West. Just walk and come back when you want. Near the parking, there is a small cafe, welcome to take a hot drink.

Do not miss to go on the beach where large blocks ice are flowing into the Atlantic Ocean.

Access : on the road 1, at 50 miles west of Hofn.
