Grand Teton National Park - Wyoming
What to do if you have little time : car tour of the lakes
The Grand Teton National Park is known for its mountains looking like female nipples according to French trappers who would have discovered this site. Grand Teton suffers from competition from its neighbor, much more well-known, Yellowstone. Its landscapes are very different : mountains, lakes, forests. It is much less developed than Yellowstone and therefore much less frequented.
Like all national parks, a contribution is requested at the entrance to the park. It is $ 35 per vehicle. If you have the "America the beautiful" pass, access is included.

When the weather is not good and it is difficult to hike, it is always possible to go around several lakes and viewpoints by car. Among the finest lakes easily accessible are Jackson Lake, Jenny Lake and Oxbow Bend.

Pleasant hike about 7 miles roundtrip. This friendly hike is largely forest. Some small climbs. The views of the lakes and the Teton mountains are magnificent. It's also nice to have a picnic on the banks of these lakes.
Inspiration Point
3,1 miles one way
3 to 4 hours

Hike that goes up to Inpiration Point along a part of Jenny Lake and passes by the Hidden Falls Waterfalls. About 6,5 miles roundtrip. The view of Jenny Lake is pretty. It is possible to picnic at Inspiration Point, but it's very windy and very frequented by tourists and ... squirrels !!!

Short easy hike about 2 miles who along Jackson lake starting at Colter Bay Visitors Center. Of little interest.
