We did not plan to visit the Douro Valley but on the advice of the manager of the Lamego campsite, we made a very small detour to Peso da Regua and Pinhao while following the Douro. And we have not regretted it. We were able to discover the hills cultivated with vineyards as far as the eye can see.

Lamego was a stage between Serra da Estrela and Peneda-Gerês Park. To see : its impressive sanctuary and its multiple levels.
