The Altantic coast promised beautiful typical fishing villages. This was the case. However, all these villages are a little similar with their white houses with touches of blue or yellow.

Aveiro is famous for its "little Venice" and its moliceiros (gondolas) with evocative decorations.

Nazaré is well known to surfers since competitions are held regularly.

Obidos is not located on the coast but it is worth taking a detour to the land. Indeed, it is not a fishing village but a fortified city with ramparts and castle. You will also see an aqueduct at the entrance of the village.
