Valley of the Gods - Utah

What to do if you have little time : Valley of the Gods

Valley of the Gods is a rather unfrequented site. Yet access is easy and although there is only one track to cross, its visit is easy in dry weather. As always, in wet weather, it would be another story.

The easiest way to discover Valley of the Gods is to take the trail from south to west. It is 16,8 miles and it takes between 2 and 3 hours to cover it. It is possible to camp because here we are on the lands of the BLM and the place lends itself well.

Access : from Mexican Hat, take Route 163 East for 9 miles, then turn left into the park. The track is well practicable.

    To see around

    • House on Fire Ruin

    Lodging

    We have tested :

    • Mexican Hat - Canyonlands Motel : classic motel a little dated without breakfast, no fridge, microwave, TV ($ 63 per night in May 2018). Next door is a 7Eleven for shopping.
