    Gooseneck State Park - Utah

    What to do if you have little time : Gooseneck State Park

    Gooseneck State Park is a simple viewpoint on the San Juan River that meanders through a canyon.

    Admission is $ 5. For this price, do not expect the smile of the Indian who holds the cash!

    From the car park, we have a very nice view of the San Juan River and its meanders.

     

    Access : from Mexican Hat, take Route 163 north for 3.9 miles then turn left on Route 261 for 0.9 mile and finally left on Route 316 until you reach the park.

    Lodging

    We have tested : 

    • Mexican Hat - Canyonlands Motel : classic motel a little dated without breakfast, no fridge, microwave, TV ($ 63 per night in May 2018). Next door is a 7Eleven for shopping.
