This waterfall flows through the foliage above a river. Very nice indeed, but a little against the light.

Access : from Dunsmuir, take Scarlette Way to the path of the railway and park. Then you have to go up the river for 1 mile along the railway track (watch out for trains) to a metal bridge with the words above "1901" ( see the picture below ). Just before the bridge, there is a release. This is where you must go down (right) to the stream.

    To see around

    • Lassen Volcanic National Park
    • Mac Arthur Burney State Park

    Lodging

    We have tested :

    • Shingletown - camping Koa : nice and shady campsite. The tent sites are separated by a bed of straw. The owners, Al and Jean are very welcoming.
