    High waterfall in the village of Skogar. You can see it from below, but there is a path that leads to the top of this cascade. The rise, however, does not bring much if not the view around.

     

    Access : from Seljalandsfoss, turn left into Skogar. The waterfall can be seen from Highway 1, it is inevitable.

    Kvernufoss

    Less known than its famous neighbor Skogafoss, Kvernufoss is nevertheless a very beautiful waterfall at the bottom of a canyon. It is possible to go behind the waterfall.

     

    Access : park at the parking of the museum of Skogar.

    We have tested :

    • Hvoll - youth hostel : lost in the middle of nowhere. The hostel is spacious but rooms are too small. The dining room is also spacious, with several small kitchens.
