    Kirkjubaejarklaustur

What to do if you have little time : Klaustur

"Klaustur" for short. This city was at the forefront of the volcanic eruptions of 2010 and 2011 of the Eyjafjallajokull. It was the last town accessible on the road and a rallying point for many journalists covering the event.

    Lodging

    We have tested :

    • Hvoll - youth hostel : lost in the middle of nowhere. The hostel is spacious but rooms are too small. The dining room is also spacious, with several small kitchens.
