This national park in Northern Ireland covers 40,000 acres. It includes a castle, a garden and some hiking trails.

A shuttle allows visitors to visit the castle (3 € / person).

    - Walled Garden: pretty and colorful garden.

    - View Point Trail : 1,2 miles. It climbs damn at first but we have a beautiful view of the castle and the lake.

    - Nature Trail (1,2 miles) near the entrance. It is very average except for the view of the lake and Mount Errigal.

Access : from Letterkenny, take the N56 through Kilmacrenan, then turn left onto Gweedore Road (R255).

    To see around

    • Slieve League & Glengesh Pass

    Lodging

    We have tested :

    • Donegal : Atlantic Guesthouse : the room is very kitsch and very small with 2 small beds side by side, sink and TV; the shower and wc are on the landing. No free parking, you have to park in the street by paying.
