Dry Bayou Mesa is visible from the parking lot.

The access to the meanders of the San Juan River is done by continuing the very stony track until the viewpoint located at the GPS N37°12'03.4" W109°43'58.2". This part can be done by car. We did it on foot in April 2022 : 3,4 miles round trip.

Access : from Bluff, take 191 west for 3,9 miles. Continue straight on 163 for 7,3 miles. Then turn left onto 2351 Lime Ridge Road, which is very passable in dry weather, for 4,1 miles. Take a side track on the left for 0,19 miles and park.
