    Amboseli National Park - Kenya

    Cheetahs

Amboseli National Park lies in southern Kenya on the border with Tanzania, which is why Kilimanjaro can be seen here on a clear day. Amboseli is one of the country's largest parks, covering almost 400 km². A national park since 1974, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Lake Amboseli covers more than a quarter of the park, but is often empty during the dry season. After the rainy season, the lake and marshes are a haven for animals, especially hippos.

    Lodging

    We have tested :

    • Kibo Safari Camp Lodge : located next to the south-east entrance to Amboseli National Park, it's ideally placed to avoid wasting time on the tracks leading into the park. Set in a quiet, wooded environment, it's a very pleasant place to stay. The spacious tents are comfortable, with showers and sanitary facilities. The lodge has a bar, buffet restaurant and swimming pool. Kilimanjaro can be seen in the distance. In short, everything you need to relax between two safaris.
